Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness (CCAA) is a national non-profit, non-government, charitable organization dedicated to eliminating child abuse through advocacy, education, public awareness and prevention programs, and to provide accessible support, healing and individual empowerment for children and adult suvivors, their families, caregivers through community and corporate partnerships. The Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness supports over 100 grass roots agencies nationally including Children’s Services, Victims Services, shelters and other agencies that deal with children, women and men whose lives have been affected by abuse. That translates to between 40,000 – 50,000 people whose lives they touch across Canada each and every year in addition to themselves providing frontline help to 2,500 – 3,000 individuals in victimized families annually. They are also a formidable force in lobbying for legislative reform.
