- One of the main benefits of www.poifriend.com is its ability to provide relevant POI information to users and connect the GPS user community – without the requirement of divulging detailed personal information. If desired upon creation of an account, you are only required to provide very basic information such as username, functional e-mail address and set of coordinates (latitude, longitude).
- It is important to note that when your coordinates are created during the account registration process, you are not required to enter an exact address or location if you have any concerns about privacy. A coordinate close to your address will still provide full functionality. Note that POIFRIEND INC. will never share the details of your coordinates without your expressed permission.
- “Cookies” (small data collection devices placed on your hard drive) may be created to enhance and facilitate your user experience. They will not be employed to compromise your privacy.
- We will never send you unsolicited communications for marketing purposes
- Account information is password-protected. Please keep your password safe.
- Links to third party websites may be provided on www.poifriend.com. We do not control the content or privacy practices of these respective third party websites and encourage all users to exercise caution when linking to outside resources.

- We collect basic information including a valid e-mail address upon creation of a www.poifriend.com user account. - Your account information will be stored and available for you to update at your convenience via the account profile area. Accounts may be deleted or removed upon request.
- In the case of premium services, we will collect billing information required to complete a financial transaction. This information will be held in the strictest of confidence and will never be shared with third parties unless required by law. Credit card information will not be stored.
- Any information posted on our POI listings or User Forums will be available and archived – unless it violates our Terms of Use policies for objectionable or inappropriate content.
- Our web logs will collect standard non-personally-identifiable data such as pages served, IP address, URL and timestamp.
- We do our best to store information in a secure operating environment that is not accessible by the public.
